We have been on a six hour bus to Ambato and then a one hour bus to arrive in Banos! We got a five minute taxi and arrived at our hotel in the tree
It was a singular room but there was a tall ladder to the ceiling where there were two more beds for me and Lottie. It was super cool and I was scared about falling out.
There were two really cute dogs that me and Lottie loved playing with. I liked this big, friendly dog, that looked liked a boxer; he always stuck his toungue out and his name was Bobby! The dog that Lottie liked best was called Ayna and she was like a bigger and hairierverson of a chihuahua. I loved to play with both the dogs.
About an hour later we went to some more hot springs that were super cool. We didn’t take any photos (sorry) so I am going to do my best to describe it to you. These hot springs were more natural which means they were a bit more dirty. But the cool thing was the pools were heated by VOLCANOS!!! There were lots of different pools but we weren’t allowed in two pools. These were the pools downstairs, the really 🥵 and the really 🥶! You were only allowed in them for five minutes because of the extreme tempature. When my parents went in there reactions were rather funny! 😂 My favourite pool was the hottest one I could go in (it was quite hot). We had a lot of fun at the springs.
After the hot springs, we went to have curry! I had vegetable biryani which was delish! Then we went home and watched race across the 🌍 .
The next day we had an amazing breakfast! We had a fruit bowl which contained watermelon, pineapple and dragon-fruit which was really tasty. We also had juice, egg, toast and even hot chocolate!
After that we set off for a day trip to the waterfalls!
We had got a tour guide to drive us around and talk about the different waterfalls. And the really cool thing was we got to ride in the back of the car! If you don’t know what I mean look at the pics! We started to stop off at different view points that were beautiful.
We stopped at this cable car over a waterfall, but the thing was, one, there was no roof to the cable car, two, we were the only people on it which was good!
When we arrived at the main waterfall we went down a load of steps. It was like walking through the jungle! When we arrived it was amazing, there was so much water. The best bit was we had to climb on our hands and knees through a long tunnel beside the waterfall which was super fun. Then we got absolutely drenched. We went behind the waterfall and you’d of thought we had just gotten out of the shower! Even if we got drenched it was still super fun!
Then we walked back up to the entrance and got banana and chocolate empanadas! They were absolutely scrumdidilyumptious!
A little while later we drove to the giant swings! The first one we saw was absolutely gigantic because we had gone to the wrong location. We tried again and arrived at the right place. There were four different swings and one of them went right of the mountain! It was so big and I screamed a lot. My dad was pushing me and he made me twist! Even if it was scary it was lots of fun. My mum and my dad even went on and I can’t say they didn’t scream! We also went on this big zip wire that was loads of fun.
Afterwards we had Italian but I can’t remember what I had.
We went home and did some home schooling and packing. When it was a bit later we headed out for dinner, on the way I got attacked by moths! For dinner we all had steak chips and salad. Did you know that in Banos they have chips and rice together a lot. Also did you know that Banos means toilet in Spanish!
After dinner we headed home watched some more T.V. And went to bed.
