We got up at quarter to five and got all our stuff together. We walked to the train station and got a couple of trains to arrive at the Osaka airport! We did all the security and everything, which took no time at all. We hadn’t had breakfast yet and we planned to get it at the airport but nothing was open. There were no shops at all open and most of the shops were designer clothes shops! Dad got on a train that goes through the airport and went to a seven eleven. So I had a drinking yogurt, a waffle and a sandwich for breakfast, which I have to admit, it wasn’t a bad breakfast. Soon we got on the flight. The annoying thing about our plane though was that there was no television and we were flying for five hours. And there was no free snacks, you had to pay for any food on the flight! We settled into our seats and the flight took off! I slept/read for a bit, and then I watched T.V and played games on our iPad. We were also allowed to eat some of our pick and mix! After a couple of hours we ordered some lunch. I got spaghetti and a coke and it was pretty good. Soon we landed. We were now in Vietnam! We got our luggage and got in a taxi to out hotel. First impressions on the hotel was lovely. They had really good air con which was great because it is very hot in Vietnam. They welcomed us with watermelon juice and banana cake which was so delicious. Our room was huge! I had a single bed and our parents had a double. The bathroom was massive and the beds were really comfy. We chilled there for a bit and got unpacked and then went out for a wonder. Vietnam is crazy! Firstly, the roads are rammed. Everyone is on motorbikes and there are hardly any cars. There are no traffic lights and people don’t stop for you even if your about to crash into them! You had to be very careful crossing the roads. There was a big lake in the middle of the part of Vietnam we were staying in. Apparently it’s the hang-out place because there was loads of people chilling around it. There were people selling fruits, people trying to get you in a golf buggy thing people in stores on there phones. It was absolutely chaos! It was the hottest place so far though so we stopped for a drink. I got Fanta and absolutely necked it. We went in a little market which was cool. After a while, we walked back. Before we went to dinner, we went to the rooftop bar. It was a great view of the city from up there but I was only allowed water because I had already had a fizzy drink that day. For dinner, we went to a noodle place. We ate in someone alleyway and it was only one dish. It was a bit strange, then we went home to bed.
The next morning, we had buffet breakfast. I had waffles, fruit, cake and eggs! I was absolutely stuffed by the end of it but it was really good. When mummy had went for a run, she said it was so busy. There were zumba and dancing classes, loads of people selling fruit and more. We went out for the day. Today it was hotter than yesterday so we tried hard to stay in the shade for most of the day. We walked past a massive building that was very beautiful. Mum said it was an opera house where people sing. It looked so cool. We walked a bit more and now we were walking through a nicer, less busy part of town. We walked through a motorbike parking space and it was packed with bikes. After about forty five minutes we arrive at the woman’s museum. There was a fashion floor. It showed different outfits through out the years. Some of them looked really cool and had about a million layers. There was a jewellery section, and people had earrings which were identical to corks! I don’t know how they got them through their ears! There was a family floor which showed jobs that the family’s used to do to get money and food. Lots of family farmed and weeded and lots of others stuff. Lottie and I even got to try grinding crops! The women’s museum was very good. We walked to a place for lunch which was supposed to have the best banh mi (a baguette with loads of stuff in it). I had a beef one and it was really good. I also had another fanta. We walked home and did some homeschooling and blog work while dad had a massage! Later on that evening, we went on a food tour! A lady was taking us around different restaurants for the night! There were lost of different foods but I’m only going to talk about a couple of them. There was one which was a really sticky dumpling with shrimp in it and I wasn’t the biggest fan. We had sea food spring rolls and a rice paper beef thing. My favourite thing was a egg chocolate thing. It was basically hot chocolate and raw egg. It sounds disgusting but actually tastes like marshmallows and was really good. What was really cool is that the restaurants were down little alleyways. You go through a gap int he wall and the next thing you know your in a cafe! There’s also about a million different restaurants where you eat on these tiny seats and tables! It’s really cool. We had fun on the food tour. It was quite late by then so we just went to bed.
The next day was very full packed. We got up and had a nice buffet breakfast and I was stuffed. A mini bus came to pick us up along with some other people. Today we were going out of the city and going on a day crews! We were in the minibus for about three hours and we met our tour guide who would be with us for the whole day. His name was happy and he was very funny and lively. He told us about what we would do today and not to mention the bus was really nice. When we arrived they showed us to our boat tin was really nice. The bottom layer had a kitchen, toilets and an eating area. The second layer had sun loungers, captains seat and a great view of the mountains! When everyone was open we set off. We had lunch first which was massive. There was rice, chicken, squid, shrimps and more. It was so good. We were sailing through amazing scenery. There were loads of spiky mountains and caves. It was beautiful. We sailed a bit more before we made it to the place where we were doing our first activity. There was a couple of options and we chose kayaking. We got changed in the bathroom and got ready. I was with dad and we got paddles and life jackets. When we started to kayak it was quite hard but I got into the flow of it. We went through a little cave and then into a big open space where lots of people were. It was amazing and quiet relaxing. We bumped into a couple of people and saw some people who were jumping in the water. The mountains around us were really cool. We got back on the boat and sailed to the next destination. We were going in a massive cave! We walked into the cave and it was incredible! It felt like I was in a movie set. Happy pointed out some animals and figures within the rocks. There was a monkey, Simba the lion and lots of other cool stuff. One section of the cave was so big! It was the biggest cave I’ve ever been in. I could not believe it was all natural. The cave was really cool! We went out the other side and the boat picked us up. The boat was just amazing. We didn’t sail for long before we made it to our last destination. We went swimming in the sea. The water was nice and warm and the sand felt lovely on my toes. Me and Lottie we’re doing some lifts which were lots of fun to do in the water. It was a lovely end to our crews! The boat was a bit late picking up but we did get on it. We all got changed in the bathroom which was a bit annoying because we were wet and sandy. I got a sun lounger on the top deck and I also got a coke which was lovely. We sailed for about an hour before we made it back to the bus. I slept the whole way back and at home we got pizza. It was really good pizza. Then we went to bed.
The next day, we went up for another breakfast. Today was a sorting chill out day. We got a taxi to a shopping centre. We first went to a decathlon. Lottie and mummy were getting water shoes but me and daddy already had them. We also got long sleeve T-shirts for when there are lots of mosquitos. There was also trampolines and exercise stuff that we played on for a bit. Then we went to some other shoe shops, and failed to find what we were looking for. We walked past virtual reality room and our parents said we could do the rollercoaster one. Unfortunately, you had to have this card thing that we didn’t have so we couldn’t do it 😞. We went to a coffee shop but the smoothie things were a bit weird. There was a giant ice rink in the middle of the shopping centre which was really strange. Everyone was also in shorts and t-shirts because it was so hot. Before lunch, we got a taxi to train street. Train street is a really narrow street with houses either side of it. It was a bit annoying that we couldn’t got down it but they did let us take a picture. We went for lunch, we went to the banh mi place. I now love banh mi. After lunch we went back to the hotel to chill out. We slept for an hour and then went on our iPads for a bit. We went to the rooftop bar for a drink and I got an ice cold Coca Cola. After we walked to a water puppet show! A water puppet show is: there are people behind a screen in shallow water, there are puppet on the end of sticks which come out through the walls and create a scene. I was really excited to see the puppet show because I had never been to one before. There was a big queue but everyone had booked tickets so I wasn’t worried. We found our seats and waited for it to begin. We saw loads of cool puppets like: big birds, turtles, farmers, people riding boats. There was this one scene where this man was trying to catch fish with a bucket and we caught a lady on the head! The phoenixes did a dance and they laid an egg which hatched into a baby bird! A cat came into the water and caught a duck. When the cat disappeared we saw it up a tree! It was so clever and I really enjoyed watching it! At the end the puppeteers came out form behind the screen. I didn’t know that they had to be in the water to do it. At the sides of the puppet show there was a band and some of the instruments were really cool. They were also doing the voices for some of the people puppets. After the puppets a show we went for dinner, I can’t remember whet we had. Then we went to bed

That’s all for Vietnam, see yah later!

Hi Hatty, I have just finished reading your blog and I’m absolutely exhausted, how you can do so much in just a few days is amazing. It sounds a very busy place and very hot 🥵. You’re in Singapore by now which should be much more relaxing. It’s a very special city and very modern, enjoy the gardens in the sky. Lots of love Gaga
