We have had a wonderful time in the city of Mendoza! We stayed at Mendoza for six nights and we had a lot of fun during those six days.

For the first couple of days, we just chilled around the city.

We even tried this sport called paddle ball! It is like tennis but you had a smaller racked that is solid with no holes. You slam the ball against the opponent’s walls and there have to hit it back without it touching the ground. It is sort of like squash but played on a tennis court! We did an hour and a half lesson and I was very good at it by the end,(better than my mum!)It was so much fun.

Then, in the next three days we did different day trips to different places.

The first day we drove to the mountains and they were super cool! We went on a little walk to the highest mountain in all of north and South America. The mountain is called Aconcagua, it is 6,961 metres tall, and it takes 12 to 15 days to climb to the top. Which is why we just saw it from the bottom. We also saw some amazingly coloured mountains. It was harder to breath because of the altitude, the higher you are the less oxygen there is in the air. We didn’t go up to high so it wasn’t ton hard to breath.

We also saw a natural bridge made out of rock and there once was a hotel next to tin but it got destroyed in an earthquake. Incredibly there was a church next to it that survived the earthquake! Now the bridge out of bounds but it is a still a hotel for the birds!

Then, we went for lunch. Our tour guide showed us a nice restaurant to have lunch at and we had a massive lunch! We all shared a big selection of meat and it was delicious. My favourite piece of meat was morcilla which is a sausage with black pudding inside!

Outside the restaurant, was practically garded by loads of dogs and they were all begging for food!

After a short while, we drove back to Mendoza.

The next day, we went to two vineyards!

The first one was a giant vineyard (for those who don’t know what that is vineyard is it is a grape field where people make and taste test wine 🍷. We went round the vineyard in a golf cart and we even got to try some grapes! We didn’t get to try wine but we did get to have cheese, raisins, cupcakes and orange juice!

After that, we went to the second vineyard which we just went to have lunch at. My mum 👩 and dad 👨 had a four course meal and me and my sister had a three course meal. I don’t know what my mother and father had but I’ll tell you what me and my sister had empanadas for starter, tomato pasta for main and dulche de leche ice cream for pudding and it was delicious!

The cool thing was we had been to an art gallery a couple weeks ago and we saw a piece of art called the acrobats! And we saw a replica of it at the vineyard. If you didn’t know what a replica is a fake version of something because they like it and they can not get the real one.

The next day was our last day in Mendoza hot springs which is  thermal pools.

Basically lots of hot pools! I had so much fun and there was even a slide 🛝 that was super fun! But when we got lunch it took FIFTY FIVE minutes and we still didn’t have our lunch. So we just cancelled and got crisps. Then we drove back home.

That is the Mendoza adventure completed ☑️!

    • Wow Hatty, it sounds like you’re having such a brilliant time, you describe everything so well! I’m very jealous of both the Dulce de Leche and the hotsprings – the weather isn’t so great in London considering it’s May.

  2. Hi Hatty, Mendoza looks great especially the hot springs!. You’ve made Francis and Pheeny very jealous as dolche de letche is their favourite. You must be getting to be good at this wine tasting lark as your parents seem to think that this is an essential part of home schooling 😂. Love your blog, especially all the detail, keep it up. Lots of love Gaga.
