Today we got a taxi for less than half an hour from our villa in Ubud to our hotel in Sanur. We arrived around eleven o clock, but we had planned that the room wouldn’t be ready yet but surprise, the room was ready. It had a pool outside it like some of the other rooms which we were delighted about. When we had unpacked, we had some chill time (playing games and watching tv on our iPads) before. Going to lunch as it was still quite early. When we did have lunch, we ate at the hotel then went in the pool for the afternoon.
Before dinner though, hatty got her hair braided. It looked very cool. Bonus it only cost a fiver.
For dinner we were meeting up with Hatty’s buddy from receptions family. We all thought it was going to be very awkward considering that hatty was 9 and I was 11 and Georgie was 15 and her sister lily was 17. However, we all got along very well. Also considering we hadn’t seen them since Hatty and Georgie were buddies. We had a full three course meal and coincidently Hatty, I and Georgie all had spaghetti bolognese for mains. All in all, it was a very nice evening, and the adults were so busy chatting between them and ignoring the kids/ teenagers that I managed to order a drink without mum or dad knowing, when it arrived, I told them though. I was very proud. We got each other’s numbers so that we could text and that also may come in handy for starting at the girl’s school because both of them go there.
The next three days we just stayed in the hotel, occasionally nipping to the beach for a bit. At dinner/breakfast though it was different everyday. On the first day we went to a little café and had pancakes. Dinner was the Japanese restaurant in the hotel. The second day was a full American breaky. Dinner was an Italian that I had pasta and a chocolate milkshake. The next day breakfast was the same place as the place on the first day but waffles. Dinner was exciting though very exciting. We had massive burgers whilst watching the women’s World Cup final. It was very funny because everyone in the bar was supporting England and the tv’s kept jumping ahead of each other, so everyone kept turning round to stare at the one was in front. Was gutted at the end result though.
The next day we finally did something different. WE WENT TO WATERBOM, AKA THE BEST WATERPARK IN ASIA. We were super hyped and when we arrived, we screamed, jumped ran out of the taxi to the entrance. Luckily, we had booked a cabana so we didn’t have to struggle to find a sun bed plus it came with a safe so we could store everything valuable whilst we were on the slides. At first, we went to the new section of the park which had only opened a few weeks ago. There were zero queues because it was so early. The first slide, the drop, was wasted on us because it wasn’t very exciting but that didn’t matter. The next slide was the tailspin where there were the outside turns and random lights. The final slide in the new section was a boomerang. It started of like the drop the did a massive drop down into a massive straight wall before rapidly coming down. It was very fun. The next slides we went on were these twin racers where you were in a concealed tube going round and round on as mat before going on a drop twice the size of the drop on the boomerang. It was very fun but scary because you couldn’t see the drop it just looked like the slide ran out. The next one was a slide like you see in a soft play but made scarier by about fifty. They bumpy ones where it goes up and down and up and down. We did both of those slides twice then went to the next slides. The first one was very long and windy, but it was all open air it took about a minute and a half which is very long for a water slide. The next one was this massive orange one that was sin the dark then came out into a massive almost loop the loop. You rode in a big yellow tube, and you had to be at least two people and waved over 100 kilos together. There was a mother and a daughter who looked about four who couldn’t go on because they were too light. We decided to be nice and hatty and mummy went with them which was fine by me because it meant that daddy and I got to go on one to ourselves. The next slide was a body slide and one of them was open air and the other one was in a tube. I got stuck and had to push myself. The next ones were a drop into a bowl that you went round and round before going in and the other one was another boomerang. It was the first time there had been an actual queue, but it wasn’t very long. After those slides, we went to lunch. We got hotdogs and chips. After lunch we went through a clear slide that was very twisty and droppy. It wasn’t very see-through though more blue. The next slide we ent on was the ones form the begging then we went on one where the floor disappears, I am so glad that I decided to do it because it was really fun. I almost did the big one but got too scared. After that we went on the lazy river and in the pool. Then went back to the hotel. We had afternoon tea then some tv time. Dinner wars just at a small restaurant on the beach.
The next two days we did the same as before and just went to the beach and pool both days. On everyday, we had afternoon tea four till five. There was a popcorn machine and a candy floss maker. It was delicious. Sanur was an amazing place to wrap up our Indonesian adventure. Now a more small adventure for four days in Bangkok, Thailand.

Hi Lottie, Thanks for all the photos of the water park, Hatty had described the slides but adding your pictures I can see how amazing it must have been, pity they couldn’t build one over here but I suppose we don’t get the weather sadly 🥲. I was upset that we lost in the final, but watching the football must have made you more excited to get back home and start playing for the Bell’s again. You have so much to look forward to on your return, new school , Scrabble and of course Cluedo! Lots of love Gaga
I do love a slide!!! xx
