Today started off with breakfast and some pool time before getting into a car and driving to another part of Lombok called kuta. When we got to our villa we were very surprised and happy to see that everything was outside apart from the bedrooms. We very quickly put all our stuff in the en-suit and our wash gear in the bathroom before mum and dad could see both the rooms and choose the en-suite. There was even a pool. Once we had plonked our stuff down we went out out for a drink. Me and Hatty got smoothies and mum and dad got coffees. After drinks we had a nose around the place and went to the supermarket to get stuff for dinner and breakfast for the next few days. For dinner we had tomato sauce and pasta. Once we had eaten, we watched a film called end to end where George Ezra and two of his best friends walk over 1,000 miles from Lands End to John O’groats. We didn’t watch the whole thing though.
The next day we went with a surf school to go surfing. It was epic and we all stood up and caught some really big waves. Mummy managed to stand up on her first go. At one point I surfed a wave all the way to the shore because two waves had followed up and I managed to surf them as well. I was very cocky because I thought it would be a good idea to try and catch a wave that was coming at me as I paddled back. Very stupid of me and I got swallowed up by the wave and bounced and dragged along the seabed. Sadly, we didn’t have get any photos because we were in the water the whole time. We had lunch in town then came back for some quiet time. After a bit we did some schoolwork then we went in the pool. Dinner we went to the Mexican in town and had tacos, (ps: it is actually called the Mexican in town not the fact that it is the only Mexican in town.)
The next two days, we went to the same beach and the same restaurant. To have a sun lounger or bean bag you had to purchase food and drink from the restaurants, so mum and dad ordered a coffee both mornings and both lunch’s we ordered four fish fingers and chips plus three cokes. On the second day the waves were massive, and I had to try and work out how to react to them most of the time I swam out to them, so I didn’t get swallowed up thrown on the seabed and not be able to breath. Sadly, twice I misjudged them and that happened. I ended up having really sore knees for the rest of the day. In the afternoon after we had left, we went in the pool then went out for a lovely dinner.
The next day we wrote our blogs then went to tetebatu in the mountains. More when we get there.

Surfing sounds fun, if you can keep upright. Used to body board but never got round to Standing up!! 😂
